It’s an exciting time for fans of the superhero comic and film franchise Fantastic Four Reboot. The reboot will be released on 6th August and the trailer is available to watch now.

It gives us a taste of the epic scale of the new storyline, including the moment the four main characters land on what looks to be an alien planet. It is in fact an alternate universe, as this is where the Fantastic Four gain their superhuman abilities.

In the last two Fantastic Four films, released in 2005 and 2007, the characters were transformed after travelling into space and coming into contact with cosmic energy clouds. The major difference in the new rebooted film however is the cast – Jamie Bell, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller – are a lot younger than in the previous films. This suggests that 20th Century want to start the story a lot earlier, so that there is scope to make more films in the future (the sequel has already been scheduled for release in 2017).

The Fantastic Four Reboot story has the longevity to far, more than you might realize. Did you know, for example, that in later comic books the Fantastic Four expanded to include other superheroes? Later members of the Fantastic Four include Spiderman, Ant-Man, Storm and Black Panther.

Each superhero brings their own characteristics to the Fantastic Four, as well as their superhuman abilities. Even though they are not normal humans, they are written with very human emotions and background stories that make them so engaging. It makes you wonder, if you were a Fantastic Four member, which one would you be? Take the quiz here and find out.

Spiderman, for example, can be anti-social and neurotic, because he always wants to do the right thing and is racked with guilt whenever anything goes wrong.

Ant-Man is similar in that he wants to be a do-gooder, although he once got caught up in a life of crime, trying to provide for his daughter. After he becomes Ant-Man, he uses his abilities to help people and proves that he is a good guy after all.

Storm, on the other hand, is not a conflicted superhero and is always very confident and calm. She’s not afraid to take control when danger comes and can get ferociously angry when attacked, yet is loyal and brave to her friends.

Superheroes are much more than their special powers and abilities, which is what makes Marvel films so popular – as well as the nail-biting action scenes of course!
