Cigars in History — Circa 1900

May 2010 By Luke 8 Comments

This is the first post in a weekly mini-series featuring the cigar’s role in the 20th century by way of the Life Archive.  We’ll cover whisky on Saturdays, cigars on Sundays.  Find “Whisky in History — Circa 1900″ here.  This Sunday, we start off with cigar history circa 1900. Given the state of photography at the time, most images from this period are scans of advertisements, logos, and branding.
