Cigars vary considerably in appearance, from unbanded and deformed cheroots to the most elegantly packaged boutique brands. The Flor de Copan brand falls nearer the latter, with each cigar delicately wrapped in its own cedar sheath held together by two bands on either end. After starting cigar production in Cuba in 1916, the Toraño family had accumulated 17 tobacco farms by the Cuban revolution in 1959. At this time they fled Cuba, eventually settling production in multiple countries, specifically Nicaragua and Honduras. I have had mixed experiences with Toraño cigars, with some of the other blends being a bit of a disappointment.
